TUMMY TUCK

Tummy tuck, also known as abdominoplasty, is a major surgical procedure to remove excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen. This procedure also tightens muscles of the abdominal wall, it can dramatically reduce the appearance of protruding abdomen.
Tummy tuck procedure remodels flaccid and pendulous stomach and corrects abdominal wall imperfection by removing excess skin. Belly button has to be relocated once upper abdominal area muscles have been tightened. It does produce a scar, which, depending on the extend of the original problem and the surgery required to correct it, can extend from hip to hip. With the new techniques scars fade as much as possible within 6 months. A support girdle must be worn night and day for about a month.
This procedure is done under general anaesthetic with one overnight in hospital.
